I've been contemplating a new blog for WEEKS, and will write one soon about "passions"...But tonight, after a day of errands, and tenant issues (read my first Blog!!), and paperwork, and cooking in a hot kitchen on a hot day, I walked into the master bathroom, turned on the powerful mirror lights and looked into the mirror (at my lime green moo-moo),. looked into my own eyes in the mirror and said outloud "I LOVE MY CURLS!!"..
I have always loved my hair! It's so dark, so thick and SO curly!! But now that I'm "aging" (as my significant other tells me daily)...my hair is thinning a bit (just a BIT), my hair is graying (just a BIT), but I still have my CURLS!
Curls are so random. Curls are so free. Curlly hair is so beautiful! And God gave it to me!! Aren't I lucky? When you have curly hair, you don't even have to brush it!! That was really awesome when I was raising four kids on an "island farm", since I'm not much into "grooming" anyway (much to Linda McMahan's dispair)...
My curls are ALL natural!! Look at the beautiful picture. All natural!! No chemicals, no technician, no sweat, no pain--- all gain!
FLASH BACK: 3:35 PM, April 23, 1992 - time to start supper. Take a peek into the refrigerator...decide on a convenient, delicious sounding recipe...DARN, I need a LEMON.., You can't make "chicken and broccolli casserole" without a fresh LEMON....so I would corral the kids into the back of the milk brown chocolate 1981 stick-shift pick up truck - "SIT BONES ON THE GROUND" I would holler...Baby Paul strapped into the carseat up front.
Headin' to town to buy a friggen LEMON!! Hey, it was an adventure, it was fun, we would see all kinds of friends and have a chance to socialize, and I was adding fresh Vitamin C to our din-din...
And I didn't even have to brush my hair-- because I have NATURAL CURLS! God is good.
