Friendly the Frog has been joining me for months in my daily hot tub ritual. At first I was startled to see a frog when I took the hot tub cover off. Then I was a bit annoyed - I didn't need a FROG to join me. Then I was perplexed - why would a FROG live under my hot tub cover in Washington?.
Now I just accept Friendly. Paul named him Herman. Then Paul caught Herman and put him in a jar for a couple weeks. Paul spent hours catching flys and bugs to put in Herman's jar. It was kinda weird to have an 18 year old son so intreged with bugs and frogs, but I just let it be. Paul's always been this way.
So Friendly didn't join me in my morning hot tub for weeks, and then all of a sudden he APPEARS. There's Friendly!
